Massimo, italienischer Maler, * Orta di Atella (bei Neapel) um 1585, ✝ Neapel 1656; erhielt seine entscheidende künstlerische Ausbildung in Rom (1617/18) bei den Nachfolgern Caravaggios. In Neapel ab 1631 mit großen Aufträgen für Kirchen bedacht, schuf er barocke Fresken in der Certosa di San Martino (1631-37) und in San Paolo Maggiore (1643-44); auch Tafelbilder.
